Recently, our congregation was asked to purchase the Primera Iglesia Bautista "Elim" pictured above. This three story building, located in downtown Spur has over 7,500 square feet of usable space with the ground floor serving as the auditorium, the second floor will provide a three bedroom residence for the minister and his family, and the third floor will be available for Sunday school classes and special services.

At the present time, in addition to doing the construction work on the second and third floors, we are attempting to find a bi- vocational Hispanic minister to reestablish a Spanish congregation -- Capilla Biblica de la Comunidad.

There is a large number of Hispanic people in our area who are simply not comfortable with the English language, and our plans, in addition to establishing the church, are to have classes for teaching English to Spanish speaking people and vice-versa, as well as to reestablish our Bible correspondence course in Spanish for prisoners.
